Photo challenge: Layers

This week's photo challenge (well, last week's, technically) is layers.  What perfect timing!  With the cold snap we've had this week, we are all bundled up in layer upon layer!

I felt like the Abominable Snowman when I layered up for my dog sled ride when I worked up in Yellowknife a few winters ago.  Despite these layers, I was still cold!

You don't need to go somewhere cold to need layers… When I travelled to Costa Rica a few years ago, I happened to arrive during an unseasonably cold, rainy month.  I didn't have anything appropriate in my suitcase, so I just had to wear everything in my suitcase at the same time!  It's a pretty good look, wouldn't you say?
